Xenical – Information
Ingredient: Orlistat
Dosage form: capsule
Xenical is similar to Alli and promotes weight loss by blocking the fat absorption in the body. Xenical blocks the action of lipase (an enzyme produced by the pancreas) which is responsible for breaking the fat for digestion and thus prevents the absorption of fat. Xenical can block upto 25% of the fat intake which is then excreted in the stool. Orlistat the primary ingredient in Xenical is responsible for blocking the fat absortion.

Xenical is recommended with a reduced-calorie diet and weight reduction plan to treat obesity in people with certain risk factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Xenical is only advised for adults with a BMI of 30 or more. Xenical is available for oral use as a capsule containing 120 mg of the active ingredient, orlistat.
Xenical belongs to a group called lipase inhibitors. Unlike other weight loss pills, Xenical works in the digestive system and blocks the fat you eat from being digested. Xenical attaches itself to the fat breaking enzymes and thus prevents the fat absorption.

Hi Jane,
Thanks for visiting.
If you follow the instructions, include fiber in your diet & cut down on fat content, you should be fine with Alli & should results in 3-4 weeks time.
